Lending a Helping Hand through our Advocacy Work
Justice and Equality
Our work with the New Jersey Poor Peoples Campaign
ECS-NJ is joining with the New Jersey Poor People’s Campaign (NJPPC) to reach voters from under-represented groups before this November’s election, specifically poor and low-wage workers. We invite you to join us in this justice ministry.
Poverty is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. We are looking for volunteers in their free time–evenings, weekends, whatever is available to help make sure that everyone eligible in your area is registered, educated, and gets out to vote.
Fighting Hunger in New Jersey
What is food insecurity? Food insecurity occurs when economic hardship within a household limits access to food, leaving insufficient resources to meet basic human needs. This issue has serious health implications and affects far too many people in New Jersey.
Food insecurity can have devastating effects on children, hindering their ability to develop and learn and potentially leading to chronic illness later in life. Simply put, we must do more.
ECS-NJ is part of the solution, advocating for Gospel justice and supporting these 11 vital ministries.

More than a website, the Asset Map is a window into our denomination and an opportunity to share God’s love, connect across differences, offer support, and help people find a safe space to connect with the divine.
