Spotlight:

Reverend Ronald Tuff, the New Jersey Organizer for GreenFaith, delivered a compelling speech at the ECS-NJ Spring 2023 Summit on environmental justice. In July, ECS-NJ collaborated on a meeting in Newark to address the obstacles hindering the growth of green jobs. The participants included representatives from labor unions, as well as green businesses such as offshore wind, electric vehicle, and community solar companies. Additionally, the meeting was attended by officials from the NJ Board of Public Utilities and the NJ Department of Clean Energy.

In October 2023, Reverend Tuff was awarded a $10,000 grant from the League of Conservation Voters to organize similar meetings in five additional cities throughout 2024. ECS-NJ remains actively engaged in these efforts to promote environmental sustainability and social equity.
